The Community Response Task Force is organized for the purpose of providing a platform for local persons, groups, clubs, or agencies to network and cooperatively prepare for and assist during large scale disasters. Natural disasters such as hurricanes, floods, fires, and tornadoes have occurred in our past and will continue to wreak havoc on our region. Man made incidents such as terrorism or war can potentially result in overwhelming catastrophe. Large scale disasters quickly overwhelm local government's ability to effectively respond. Grass Root Community efforts to organize and prepare reap enormous benefits when disaster does strike.
Individuals and/or groups/organizations/agencies with interest in disaster response and relief who are of good moral character may become members of the CRTF. No special skill or ability is necessary; everyone possesses individual skills and resources that can help. The greatest requirement is a desire to help their community in times of greatest need.
If you would like to become a of member of the CRTF please provide the following information. Your request for membership will be reviewed by the membership during the next regular meeting. Upon acceptance you will be notified. Meetings are held on the second Friday of each month. Information regarding the CRTF is sent regularly via Email. The information you provide will be used for information networking related to CRTF business and operations only. All other use is prohibited. Thank you for considering being part of this important community effort.
